How do I register my nick name?
Register your nick by typing "/nickserv register <password> <email>" (no quotes or <>) where password is what you want you nick pass to be and email is your email address.

How do I register my chat?
Open your client and type "/join #chan" (no quotes) where chan is the name you want your chat to be.Then type "/chanserv register <#channel> <password> <description>" (no quotes or <>) where channel is what you want your registered chat name to be.

Why do I need a nick name?
You need a nickname so our people on the network can identify you.

When I log on it says "/msg NickServ IDENTIFY password" what's this?
It is for sucurity reasons. Once you register your nick you will have to Identify your self. This is easy to do just type "/msg NickServ IDENTIFY <password>" (no quotes or <>) where password is your nick pass.

What is BrokenIRC about?
BrokenIRC is about giving people all over the world a place to communicate with each other.

Why do I need to register my nick name?
You don't need to but its a good idea because it prevents people from stealing your nick. You also much register your nickname if you want to use services to register channels, etc.

How do I get a vhost?
Join #help and type !vhost <vhost>

What are some commands?
/join <channel> - Join a Channel
/part <channel> - Part a Channel
/list [string] - list all channels with [string] in their name. /list
without string will list all channels.
/mode - Set a channel or user mode.

How do I get help with services (chanserv, nickserv, etc)?
NickServ: /nickserv help
ChanServ: /chanserv help
MemoServ: /memoserv help

In chat what are the symbols next to nicks on the nicklist?
+ = voiced user can talk in a moderated channel
@ = op user is an op
~ = founder user is chat founder
& = sop user is a sop
% = hop user is a half op
